Innovation in Engineering Committee

Vision (National - Pending approval)

Promote engineering innovation within the engineering and wider community for the benefit of individuals, their organisations and ultimately for the betterment of Australia.

Objectives (National - Pending approval)

  1. Encourage, recognise and publicise local engineering innovations and entrepreneurs - historical and emerging.
  2. Promote corporate innovation and thought leadership in engineering organisations.
  3. Educate the community on the importance of and how to promote and use innovation.
  4. Share successes in engineering innovations and innovative engineering organisations.
  5. Work with Engineers Australia to take the innovation promotion message nationally and contribute to recognise and promote engineering innovation throughout Australia.
  6. Work with all levels and sides of government to head towards a more innovative society in policy and practice.

We invite you to join the Innovation Committee

  • The Committee hold presentations, seminars, forums, site visits and other activities to promote innovation during the year.
  • Our presentations are centred around educating the audience on innovation and sharing success stories to motivate others.

What is expected from you as a committee member?

  • To assist in organising and facilitating presentations and meetings.
  • To be passionate and assist with educating other engineers and the wider community.
  • To assist in creating and driving innovation related Policy.
