Retired Engineers Group WA

Retired Engineers WA are a group that run events tailored for retired and semi-retired members of Engineers Australia and kindred organisations.

Member and Non-Member fees apply to all events and partners of Engineers Australia members are invited to attend at the member rate.

Retired Engineers WA have a newsletter of forthcoming activities that is distributed to members bi-monthly.

 

Activities

Retired Engineers WA hold regular meetings and organise visits and events tailored to a wide range of interests.

The activities include visits to new engineering projects, lunches and visits to areas of interest with engineering heritage or significance. These get together's enable members and their partners to keep in touch with one another, the wider community and with Engineers Australia.

Past events have included visits to the Southern Seawater desalination plant at Binningup, the Australian Marine Complex dry dock facility at Henderson, the Royal Perth Hospital Medical Engineering and Physics Department, the Harry Perkins Medical Research Institute and Optus (Perth) Stadium.

The visits normally include lunch and when required use a coach for travel between different locations. These expenses are costed into the ticket price.
