Description: The Internet of Things (IoT) is opening the flood gates of data being created at unprecedented speeds and quantities. This webinar is a primer for an organisation’s journey into the world of data management and how to harness this flood by creating value in the form of meaningful and actionable information. This journey involves data capture and acquisition, storage, analysis and visualisation.
Emphasis will be on the evolution of Business Intelligence (BI) to Analytics to Big Data.
About the presenter: Arthur has over 30 years of technical, operational and commercial experience in a variety of industries, ranging from manufacturing to financial services, through senior management positions in a number of engineering and information technology companies in Australia and Europe.
He has led the successful implementation of large scale transaction processing projects integrating operations technology (OT) with information technology (IT) involving information management (IM), data acquisition and data analytics for decision making, resulting in business process automation and/or improvements in the entire value chain.
Arthur is the owner and Managing Director of aib Consulting Services. He is a Fellow of Engineers Australia (EA), the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
