Cairns Aquarium Site Visit

Join the Cairns Regional Group on a site visit to one of the first aquariums to be built in Australia in the past 17 years.

The Cairns Aquarium is a privately funded tourist attraction being developed on the corner of Florence and Abbott/Lake Streets in the Cairns CBD.

FKG Group are nearing completion of construction of the Cairns Aquarium. Three main exhibition features of the site include, single storey freshwater tank, deep reef tank spanning 2-levels and an oceanarium with a walk through tunnel. In addition to many other in-situ and prefabricated tanks and exhibits.

Life support systems, waterproofing and internal fitouts of some of the tanks will be underway for the preperation of the the acrylic panels to seal tanks prior to water testing.

Spaces for this tour are limited, therefore bookings are essential. Attendees must supply their own PPE, details will be outlined upon registration.
