Innovation in Multilevel Residential Steel Construction - 80 Arthur St, Nth Sydney


Comprised of an innovative steel framed structural system comprised of universal column sections as primary beams supporting deep trapezoidal floor decking in the secondary direction, the building houses 218 serviced

apartments and a retail space.

 The design allows a structural floor depth of 290 mm to be achieved whilst maintaining the 3050 mm floor to floor height originally intended for a concrete framed building.

Tim has emerged as a leading structural engineer in Australasia via his involvement in the successful delivery, over the past decade, of a number of landmark building projects. His approach to building design is underpinned by a strong grasp of first principles, an in-depth knowledge of materials and an exceptional ability to apply advanced computer analysis, design and documentation packages. Tim developed and led the structural design and documentation for the 80 Arthur Street, North Sydney project.
