2017 Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards open Friday, 13 January 2017

Nominations are now open for the Victorian Government’s 2017 Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

These awards “recognise individuals and companies who embrace new technologies and manufacturing techniques, are export focused and excel in business innovation”.

This year’s theme is Growing Advanced Manufacturing, which highlights the opportunities for innovation in Victorian manufacturing.

The award categories include:

  • Young Manufacturer of the Year;
  • Manufacturer of the Year;
  • Growth Sector Awards;
  • Honour Roll; and
  • Hall of Fame Inductees.

Engineers Australia’s Victorian President, Chris Stoltz FIEAust CPEng EngExec NER said engineers are often reluctant to broadcast the magnificent work that we do.

“I encourage all Victorian Engineers Australia members who are active in the manufacturing and advanced manufacturing space to nominate for these awards”, Mr Stoltz said.

Nominations close 15 February, with the award winners announced at the Gala Dinner on 9 May.
