Coasts & Ports Conference 2015 - Registration now open Friday, 01 May 2015

The Local Organising Committee, the Institution of Professional Engineers of New Zealand, the New Zealand Coastal Society, the National Committee for Coastal and Ocean Engineering, Engineers Australia and PIANC extend a warm welcome and invite you to participate in the Coasts and Ports 2015 Conference; an amalgamation of the 21st Australasian Coastal and Ocean Engineering Conference and the 14th Australasian Port and Harbour Conference.

The Coasts and Ports Conference series is the pre-eminent forum in the Australasian region for professionals to meet and discuss issues extending across all disciplines relating to coasts and ports. Coasts & Ports 2015 will bring together engineers, planners, scientists, stakeholders and researchers to focus on the technological, scientific, policy, planning and design issues related to our diverse and developing coasts.

The theme for our conference is Environomics. Environment and economics – can we have both? The idea behind this theme is the balancing act between protecting and preserving the environment and achieving economic growth and prosperity. How can investors, regulators and the public develop a win-win strategy? What is the appropriate balance of protecting against future climate change scenarios while enabling societies to benefit from their locations?

Coasts & Ports 2015 will be held in Auckland, New Zealand from 15 - 18 September 2015. The conference venue is at the Pullman Hotel and Conference Centre. This venue is ideally located to provide easy access to the centre of Auckland and our fantastic harbours. We hope to see you in Auckland in September 2015 for stimulating discussions, networking and fun!
