Engineers Australia UK Chapter and the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) celebrated summer and a successful start to 2018, with a cruise along the River Thames on Saturday 28th July. Richard Kim, EA UK Committee member, tells us more.
The Engineers Australia and Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ) Annual Thames Boat cruise was held on Saturday 28th of July.
We were treated to a superb hot and sunny afternoon along the Thames, although it was touch and go after the storm the previous day.
This year we sailed downstream towards the Docklands passing all the iconic London sites such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, and of course all the famous skyscrapers while listening to familiar Aussie and Kiwi accents.
The event was a fantastic day out once again and included a barbeque lunch, drinks, networking, and an opportunity to view London from the best vantage point in town.
A strong turnout of 35 members and guests attended this event.
