AS 3962, Design Standard for Marinas, is a vital document for the recreational marine industry. Last published in 2001, it is in need of a revision to bring it in line with cur rent practices.
The key outcome of the forum is to develop a clear project proposal that has broad stakeholder support, covering:
- Explanation of current issues with AS 3962
- Clear statement detailing the areas of the standard that will be enhanced and how
- Demonstration of the net benef its in undertaking this work in terms of:
- Public health and safety
- Social and community impact
- Environmental impact
- Competition and innovation
- Economic impact
All relevant stakeholder groups are invited to par ticipate in discussion at the forum. Their view will assist in shaping the futur e of the design standard for marinas.
