Mechanical College Awards 2016 nominations deadline extended! Friday, 20 May 2016

If you know a mechanical engineer who deserves recognition, nominate him or her for one of the Mechanical College Awards 2016 before Thursday, 30 June 2016. Self nominations are also welcome for some of the awards. 

AGM Michell Medal is made annually for outstanding service in the profession of mechanical engineering and perpetuates the memory of Anthony George Maldon Michell.

The recipient is invited to give an oration at an appropriate Engineers Australia event on a topic of his or her choice which will later be published in The Australian Journal of Mechanical Engineering.


Sir George Julius Medal is named in honour of Sir George Julius and awarded to the author/s of a paper in the field of mechanical engineering judged to be the best of those submitted for consideration.

The successful recipient/s will be presented with a bronze medal and accompanying certificate.


Young Mechanical Engineer of the Year Award is conferred by the Board of the College of Mechanical Engineers to recognise the achievement and contribution of a young mechanical engineer, technologist or associate in the profession of mechanical engineering.

The award consists of a framed certificate and a set of Vernier Calipers and will be presented to the winner at an appropriate Engineers Australia event.
