RES Calling for Volunteers Monday, 23 November 2015

The Risk Engineering Society (RES) is looking for Canberra Division members who have interest in Risk Management/ Risk Engineering and who are interested in joining the 2016 RES committee.  Membership of this committee provides an opportunity not only to contribute to Engineers Australia activities in Canberra, but also to enjoy the rewards of volunteering with Engineers Australia.

To be eligible to join the committee, you need to be a financial member of Engineers Australia and / or member of the RES and willing to participate actively in committee activities.

Objectives of the RES Committee are:

  • To organise and conduct activities that meet the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements and further the interests of those engaged in any field of Engineering (Risk is everybody business); and
  • To encourage and facilitate the development of Risk Based Thinking in all fields of engineering in the ACT and surrounding regions.

In 2015, the RES Branch had an active year.  In addition to conducting presentations in the evening, it held two half day workshop jointly with Master Builders Association.

The RES Branch Committee currently aims to achieve a similar program in 2016 and new members bring new ideas!
