Recent work on the Perth Children’s Hospital with John Holland demonstrates how BIM can be used in the management and maintenance of a facility after construction is completed. BIM to Facilities Management. PDC take the large number of separate models from multiple project consultants created in various software platforms and federates to create a weekly BIM model which are distributed across the relevant project groups. This ensures conformity, prevents clashes, avoids duplication and promotes real-time communication.
