Winner of Superengineer Graduate competition announced Monday, 20 June 2016

Our Superengineer competition has wrapped up and one lucky graduate has won a trip to Hong Kong!

Tyrone McLean, who has recently completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) Hons and is currently working at Austral Masonry in Brisbane is the winner of our 2016 competition.

Entrants were asked to tell us how winning a Hong Kong engineering experience would help support their graduate career.

“Winning this trip would support my graduate career by exposing me to new technological advances wherein I could build upon my existing knowledge toward Chartered status…” Tyrone added.

The prize includes a return trip to Hong Kong, five night’s accommodation and the opportunity to take technical tours and meet with key members of our Hong Kong chapter. “I'm expecting to see projects that push the boundaries of what I thought was possible”, says Tyrone.

Tyrone hopes to continue developing his professional and technical skills as a structural engineer and to gain the necessary experience required of a Chartered engineer.  He hopes that this graduate journey will help build the foundations to achieve his goals.

Well done Tyrone!
