Darwin school gets top score, now off to national finals Thursday, 08 October 2015

Darwin High School qualified to represent the Northern Territory at the Science and Engineering Challenge National Final.

Darwin High not only beat all competing Darwin and Alice Springs Schools to qualify for the finals, they also got the highest score out of all eight finalists.

“The team from Darwin High School are very excited about competing in the 2015 Science and Engineering Challenge.

“This competition provides a unique opportunity for our students to meet students from other schools and backgrounds across Australia to share ideas and experiences and forge long term friendships.

“It is programs like this that really add value to our students’ education,” said Trevor Reed, Darwin High School Principal.

The final will be held on Friday 30 October at the University of Newcastle. The top eight schools from around Australia will be representing their state or territory to battle it out to determine who will take home the winner’s trophy.

Darwin High School has approximately 1200 students and is located at Bullocky Point, Darwin.
