UAE Chapter's New Committee Members for 2017 Friday, 21 October 2016

Engineers Australia congratulates Harry Roberts and Hazem Hanafy on their re-election and welcomes Frank Lehmann and Tania Wallace-Smith into the committee for 2017!

About your 2017 Committee:

Harry Roberts

Harry is Technical Director Rail at AECOM (Abu Dhabi) and a business leader and rail freight specialist. Harry has been in the UAE for over three years and was instrumental in setting up the UAE interest group which was formed into a chapter in 2015. Harry is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of Engineers Australia.

Hazem Hanafy

Hazem is a Project Manager with Parsons Corporation in Abu Dhabi. Hazem was similarly instrumental in the start up of the UAE Chapter and has been a key point of contact for members in the region. Hazem is a Chartered Engineer, a Certified Practicing Project Manager and is fluent in multiple languages including Arabic and Polish.

Frank Lehmann

Frank is the Lead Engineer for SNC Lavalin where is responsible for the oversight of the West Qurna oilfield near Basra, Iraq.  Frank is a Chartered Electrical Engineer and studied at the University of Western Australia where he also gained a Master of Business Administration degree. He is keen to become involved in all facets of engineering in the Middle East and has also worked in Muscat and Abu Dhabi. 

Tania Wallace-Smith

Tania is an Associate Director for Arcadis in Abu Dhabi providing project management consultancy services in the built environment. Tania has experience on high rise towers (in excess of 70 storeys) and is currently the Project Director for a 350 key, five-star hotel and resort development. She is MBA qualified with a double Degree in Engineering and Science from the University of Melbourne. Tania’s dedication and in-depth industry knowledge will be a great contribution to the Middle East chapter.
