Sustainable Engineering Society (SENG)

For engineers dedicated to the pursuit of a sustainable world.

The Sustainable Engineering Society (SENG) is a multidisciplinary technical society dedicated to the pursuance of a sustainable world. The society works in the interests of engineers and other professionals involved in sustainability, from concept and design to development and beyond to policy and advocacy.

The Society moves ahead at ever-increasing speeds, with more than the future ahead — responsibility, resourcefulness and restraint are all components of a liveable tomorrow. The demands of the modern world must be met by engineers who are conscious of scarcity, environmental damage and the long-term effects of our creations.

SENG provides a community and platform for engineers working with and towards sustainability. The society promotes ethics and sustainability practices, provides links for international exchange, and facilitates networking and knowledge sharing.

An alliance for sustainability

The Sustainable Engineering Society is inclusive, with members from every engineering discipline joined by professionals from other scientific fields and experts from allied professions. With branches across Australia, SENG presents a diverse community for sharing ideas and networking that is invaluable to any engineer concerned with sustainability issues.
