Being a member gives you access to all the development, connection and growth opportunities you need to do your best work.
Depending on your membership type, this includes access to:
- Resources including webinars, collaboration platforms, technical materials, up-to-the-minute news and more.
- Instant recognition as a respected engineering professional with our post-nominals. Be seen for who you are and what you bring.
- Discounts and savings of up to 30 per cent on a range of handpicked products and services including technology, travel, business and fitness.
The membership application timeline is calculated on a case-by-case basis. This is dependent on your membership type, conditions and whether a competency assessment is required.
Information on your membership assessment will be provided in the confirmation email sent once you've submitted your application.
In Australia, roles in the engineering profession fall within three occupational categories. A fourth occupational category is available for the purposes of migrant skills assessment.
Your employer has the option to cover your membership fee. You can:
- Forward your invoice to them.
- Request the use of the company credit card for payment.
- Request that they call us directly to make payment on 1300 653 113.
If your employer wants to set up a group invoice for the next financial year, ask them to send an email to [email protected] and we'll be in touch.
Pricing is determined by your membership grade and whether you need a competency assessment.
If you join mid year, we will pro-rata the fee on a monthly basis so that you only pay for the months you're with us.
Do you need a competency assessment?
If you don’t quite meet the membership criteria, you can complete a competency assessment to understand whether you're ready to apply.
Recognition of your other memberships
If you’re a member of a reciprocal organisation, our mutual recognition agreements (MRA) allow you to join Engineers Australia at an equivalent level of membership.
Meeting your CPD requirements
Membership provides you with the resources you need to meet your CPD requirements, which is essential if you’re working towards or have Chartered or NER credentials.
Are you migrating to Australia?
We are here to help streamline your Australian migration journey, whether it’s a short-term stay or long-term goal.
