Overview

The Hunter region is a recognised region as a hydrogen hub and cluster. Hub projects are underway to deliver a safe, reliable, and commercial-scale hydrogen supply chain across the Hunter industrial and port precinct. This event will introduce the large-scale renewables-based hydrogen projects in the region and will explore how it fits in NSW and Australia’s strategy. The event will discuss what is occurring in the region to advance the industry including local area industry participation and its links to associated initiatives. Comparison to other hydrogen hubs and activity around the country will be made, including current stages of development, capabilities, and localised differentiators.

Co-Lead NewH2, Hunter Hydrogen Technology Cluster

Clare is Co-Lead of NewH2 the Hunter Hydrogen Technology Cluster and Managing Director of Forelight Advisory. Clare leads a range of multi-stakeholder initiatives including place-based economic development, technology scoping, and challenge-based programs. She is a strong collaborator and enabler of future resource and energy industries including the symbiosis of clean technology solutions to traditional processes and value chains. Clare is a mining engineer (UNSW) and holds applied finance qualifications, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and is a Churchill Fellow. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Newcastle Institute of Energy and Resources (NIER), NSW Decarbonisation Innovation Hub and Independent Planning Commission.
