Supporting Wear Red for RedR Day

Engineers Australia is proud to support RedR Australia's Wear Red or RedR Day, a fundraising effort that mobilises engineers and other experts to support international emergency response agencies when disasters strike.

Engineers Australia, a co-founder of the charity, is encouraging members to get behind this great cause and donate. Much of RedR’s funding comes from direct donations from the community.

More than 100 professionals were sent to disaster zones recently. This included civil, water and sanitation, and electrical engineers to lend their expertise.

We are proud to be supporting RedR Australia which currently has experts supporting hundreds of thousands of refugees from the Syrian war in Jordan and Lebanon and a logistician in Turkey helping supply relief items to those still inside Syria.

RedR have also deployed people to the World Food Programme, the United Nations Children’s Fund and Food and Agricultural Organisation in Africa to support those affected by the food crisis and famine in Africa.

Join us and show your support for RedR Australia on Friday 5th May 2017 by signing up to hold an office fundraiser or to deploy your own teams of people to discover landmarks in Sydney and Melbourne.

Visit our Engineers Australia Team page where you can donate as little as $1 or more to this important cause.

Visit RedR’s website for full details on how you can join in the fun and make a difference to those affected by crises.
