Meet the WA Committee for 2024

Engineers Australia welcomes three new members to the WA Division Committee for 2024 Brent Burgess, Raj Kurup and Kieran Rutter. The WA Division Committee provide leadership and direction to our members in WA as well as giving locally informed advice to the Engineers Australia Board.

Committee members, headed by incoming WA President Lewis Macdonald, will volunteer their expertise and time throughout the year to help set the overall governance and strategic direction of Engineers Australia in Western Australia.

Key priorities for the WA Division Committee this year will be the energy transition, climate smart engineering and diversity and inclusion. We will also be engaging with members and industry in the lead up to the commencement of engineering registration in WA for building engineers from July 1, 2024.

Lewis Macdonald says it’s a privilege to be taking on the role of President.

“I look forward to working with General Manager Susan Kreemer Pickford, Past President Shalini Saldanha, Deputy Presidents Kala Ranee Senathirajah and Allison Selman and the broader WA division Committee and industry, in my new role. I hope to continue to make progress across our focus areas – diversity and inclusion, climate change and the energy transition.”

Each new member will serve the WA Division Committee for two years. You can find out more about each of the committee members below.
